Gallaghers backpage header
In today’s world, all of us are looking for ways to save money and help protect the environment. New advances in plumbing technology have led to hosts of new products that allow us to now do both at the same time.
Faucets

Most major manufacturers have teamed up with the EPA and produced new “Water Sense” faucets that run at 1.5 gallons per minute rather than their old 2.2 gpm counterparts. We will gladly supply and install any such faucet.

Showers

You can save even more on your water bills by installing a new shower head that uses only 1.5 gpm (gallons per minute).
without sacrificing an exceptional showering.

Older shower heads can use 2.5 gallons per minute or more!

Hot Water Recirculating Pumps

It can be frustrating waiting for the water to get hot at a shower or sink. Besides wasting time, how about the water that just went down the drain?

In an average household that takes four showers a day, that wasted water can add up to thousands of gallons per year.

The solution is a readily installed recirculating pump that will provide hot water at the ready.

Call today and ask about us installing a Grunfos recirculating pump for you.

Tankless Hot Water Heaters

Tankless hot water heaters do not store heated water like a typical hot water heater and instead only heats water when it is needed for use. This dramatically cuts down on energy usage because it need run only a fraction of the time. Another advantage of the tankless is that it can virtually supply endless hot water for as long as you call for it. A tank type hot water heater can only supply what it can store and then needs time to reheat its storage tank.  Tankless hot water heaters are more expensive upfront; however typical energy savings range between 25-35 percent over standard hot water heaters and their lifespan is about double.

Toilets

Don’t flush your money away! Toilets use accounts for roughly ¼ of your total water bill. If your toilet is older than 1993 it’s likely an inefficient model that uses 3.5-7.0 gallons of water per flush. New high-efficiency models use less than 1.6 gallons per flush without sacrificing performance. There are also new products available that utilize a “dual-flush” system that allows you to choose between flushing 1.6 and 0.8 gallons on demand. A dual flush toilet can save up to 6,000 gallons per year even over other low consumption toilets.
